Amaryllis and Paperwhite bulbs made lovely holiday gifts once again. We are delighted to receive the photos of your striking blooms in living rooms, on dining tables, and cheering up offices… around Flagstaff and from afar! Please continue to share your photos with us on social media by tagging us @foxglovegardening.

During November and December and into the new year, Foxglove Gardening in collaboration with Annie’s Omnium sold beautiful bulbs on our store page and at local holiday pop-up shops.

Every year our Holiday Happenings are a little bit different and we are hoping to expand our provisions and events into other times of the year. It is a fun way to share our love for flowers and design and make new friends in the community. If you would like to be added to our mailing list for upcoming pop-ups please sign up here.

foxglove food drive

giving from the heart

Foxglove has started an annual tradition of putting our trucks to use in another way… we drive around town and pick up your food donations that you set outside your home or office on an established day around Thanksgiving or Christmas. For the past two years we have taken your donations (average of 800+ lbs.) to the Golden Rule Food Pantry on the East side of Flagstaff. We are blessed to be part of such a generous and thoughtful community and the Golden Rule Food Pantry is always so grateful and appreciative. Updates will be provided as to when we will be picking up donations for the 2022 holidays.

foxglove gardening with kids!

annie’s omnium collaboration

In the late Fall Foxglove Gardening visits classrooms and teaches kids a lesson about the life cycle of a flower bulb. Children are asked to bring in a tin can and Foxglove provides a Narcissus ‘paperwhite’ bulb, pea gravel, and care tag. Children plant their bulbs and then observe the bulb grow and blossom over a few weeks in the classroom. The can with bulb goes home to the child’s family as a gift. We hope you enjoy their art and observations as much as we do.

foxglove is celebrating!

41 years of making Flagstaff beautiful

Foxglove is celebrating two milestones~ 41 years of our Foxglove trucks on the streets and 6 years of Jason and Annie as the new owners! In honor of this milestone Claire Sipos of Suppose Studios created a vibrant illustration of our tried and true 1986 Toyota 1-ton truck overflowing with Flagstaff’s favorite summer flowers. You may see our crew wearing these shirts around town and you can have one too! Visit our store to purchase shirts and a variety of other items including hats. Proceeds from our shirt and hat sales go to our Employee Education & Enrichment fund.

holiday bulb shop

annie’s omnium collaboration

Amaryllis and Paperwhite Bulbs make lovely holiday gifts. These striking flowers bloom indoors over the Winter and bring great joy! Traditionally during November and December Foxglove Gardening in collaboration with Annie’s Omnium participate in holiday craft fairs and pop-up shops where you can buy holiday bulbs for gift giving as well as Annie’s hand made ephemera- artistic cards, calendar, stickers, tags, and such! Every year it is a little bit different… last year in lieu of a pop up shop Annie sent out a artistic mini-catalogue and took orders over the phone and provided a gift delivery service.

We will see what comes together this year! Write us a note on our contact page if you would like to be put on our list for Holiday Happenings!

hanging baskets

for the city of flagstaff

Foxglove has been honored the contract for caring for hanging baskets overflowing with flowers, planters and barrels along the downtown streets North and South of the railroad tracks, and maintaining the Heritage Square pollinator garden with TerraBIRDS for another 2 years. This project has been enthusiastically received and steadily expanding since 2020. Keep an eye out for some additions to the Fourth Street gateway area early this summer.

In addition to the hanging baskets, Foxglove Gardening also maintains over a dozen wine & whiskey barrels that we planted with ornamental grasses and flowers for the locals and tourists to enjoy throughout the Summer and Fall in Heritage Square, Flagstaff’s ‘zocalo’.

Pollinators (butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds) that find their way to Heritage Square enjoy the Colorado Plateau wildflowers created in collaboration with TerraBIRDS. A stone ‘sacred’ (built by John Taylor & students of TerraBIRDS) pays homage to the San Francisco Peaks. If you value and appreciate the baskets, planters, and downtown gardens please let the City of Flagstaff know!
